These Terms govern your use of bohonews.com and services that link to these Terms.
Boho News is a publication operated by Republic of Bohemia LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company. References to Boho News, we, us, and our include the publication and its legal operator.
By accessing or using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
News and informational content
Boho News publishes journalism, analysis, opinion, data, documents, images, and other informational material.
Content may concern developing events and may change as additional information becomes available.
We work to be accurate, but we do not guarantee that every item is complete, current, error-free, available, or suitable for a particular purpose.
Our Corrections and Updates Policy explains how we address errors and changes.
No professional advice
The site does not provide legal, financial, investment, tax, medical, mental-health, safety, engineering, or other professional advice.
News reporting and general explanations are not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who understands your circumstances.
Market information displayed through the TradingView widget may be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable. It is not a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or trade any asset.
No confidential relationship from ordinary contact
Sending a message, tip, document, photograph, or other material does not automatically create:
- a confidential-source relationship;
- an attorney-client relationship;
- an employment relationship;
- an agency relationship;
- a partnership;
- a contractual obligation to investigate, publish, respond, return material, or preserve anonymity.
A confidentiality commitment must be expressly made by an authorized Boho News editor.
Ordinary email is not a secure channel.
Corrections and responses
You may challenge a factual statement or request a correction.
A request does not create a right to edit, remove, delay, approve, or control our reporting.
Boho News retains final editorial authority.
Correction requests should be sent to corrections@bohonews.com.
Ownership
Unless otherwise stated, original Boho News text, graphics, design, code, compilations, and other original material are owned by Boho News or its legal operator and are protected by applicable law.
Third-party photographs, documents, data, quotations, trademarks, embeds, and other material remain subject to the rights and terms identified with that material.
Government works and public-domain material may not be owned by Boho News, but our selection, arrangement, annotation, and original reporting may still be protected.
Permitted use
You may:
- read and share links to our work;
- quote limited portions with accurate attribution and a link when applicable;
- use content as permitted by law;
- print or save a reasonable number of pages for personal, educational, research, or other noninfringing use;
- use ordinary search-engine indexing that respects our technical directives.
Prohibited use
You may not:
- copy or republish substantial portions of an article without permission or another lawful basis;
- remove credits, rights notices, correction notices, or source context;
- misrepresent our work or imply endorsement;
- use the site to harass, threaten, defraud, impersonate, or endanger others;
- interfere with site operation or security;
- introduce malware or abusive automated traffic;
- bypass access, rate, or security controls;
- scrape at a volume that disrupts the service;
- use protected content to train or improve a commercial generative model without written permission, except to the extent permitted by law;
- use our name, logo, or material in a deceptive or misleading manner.
Submissions
You retain ownership of material you submit, subject to any rights held by others.
When you intentionally submit material for possible publication, you represent that:
- you have the right to provide it;
- your submission does not knowingly violate law or another person’s rights;
- information you provide about authenticity and provenance is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
Unless we agree otherwise in writing, you grant Boho News a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to receive, store, copy, review, verify, edit, format, archive, and publish the submitted material for journalistic, documentary, promotional, legal, security, and archival purposes.
We may decline, delete, preserve, disclose, or return material as law, safety, ethics, editorial judgment, and any express source agreement permit.
Do not send material that you have no right to disclose.
Copyright complaints
Send copyright complaints to contact@bohonews.com with the subject line Copyright.
Include:
- identification of the protected work;
- identification and URL of the disputed material;
- your contact information;
- the basis for your claim;
- a statement that the information supplied is accurate;
- proof that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for the rights holder.
This contact method does not waive any requirement for formal legal service and does not represent that Boho News has registered a Digital Millennium Copyright Act agent.
External services
The site may link to or embed services operated by third parties, including TradingView, government document systems, media hosts, and other websites.
We do not control their availability, accuracy, security, content, privacy practices, or terms.
A link does not necessarily imply endorsement.
Support and payments
Boho News does not currently process financial contributions on this site.
When payment tools are enabled, additional checkout terms may apply.
Unless a payment page expressly states otherwise:
- support does not purchase editorial influence;
- support is not tax-deductible;
- contributions are generally nonrefundable except where law or the payment processor requires otherwise.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is processed.
Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, remove, restrict, or discontinue any part of the site.
We may correct, update, annotate, retract, remove, or supersede editorial content according to our published policies.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and its content are provided as available and without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and noninfringement to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Boho News and Republic of Bohemia LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the site.
We are not responsible for decisions made in reliance on news, market data, external links, or general informational content.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify Boho News and Republic of Bohemia LLC against claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from material you submit, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person’s rights.
This section does not apply to the extent a claim results from our independent misconduct.
Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes concerning these Terms or the site must be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in Bernalillo County, New Mexico.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms.
The Last updated date identifies the current version. Material changes apply prospectively unless law permits otherwise.
Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
General provisions
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
These Terms and policies expressly incorporated by reference constitute the agreement governing site use, except where a separate written agreement applies.
